A few options really. Marks 4wd or advanced adapters Chevy conversion Bell housings, along with either doomsday diesel or speed gems Chevy transmission adapters for the 606. May be others.

I may have missed skimming through, but have you considered using the marks 4wd Bell housing and a Chevy trans adapter? I have seen it done.

Maybe reinforce with 2" .120 wall over the 1 3/4 instead of redoing it all?
