The truck is a relatively stock Axial SCX10.3, with a full styrene body I found on eBay - because why do we need another Jeep bodied RC, and if it's got portals, it should really be a 'Mog. The body is a tad pricey at $200+ USD, but the detail & quality are top-notch! The seller has a few...
Thanks!
The patina is done by painting both inside & out. I use Tamiya PS-14 Copper on the inside, backed with PS-5 Black. Then I hit the outside with PS-55 Flat Clear, which gives the body color something more to adhere to. The body color is Rustoleum Painter's Touch for wood, metal & plastic...

I'd go with any of the Axial SCX10 platforms, then pop the MST J45C body on it. Axial parts are readily available damn near everywhere! That's the route I went: SCX10.2 with a Vanquish VS4-10 chassis conversion, and the J45C body from MST.
A couple of other "micro" options, Axial SCX24 & Element RC Enduro24. Both come from long-time established brands & have good parts support through most hobby shops.

I'm floating around 360Kish, to the best of my maths. The bump to 305s threw the speedo/odometer off a tad. Original lump, with head gasket & usual PMs done.
I know I'm a little late to the party, but have you sold this yet? My #6 injector plug is baked and disintegrating, and that portion of my harness is rather baked.
