I used something readily available down undah which is the 70 series OE uni. The larger end of the uni is the correct diameter for the 40 shaft and smaller end correct for the 80 shaft (I believe). They used to be $20 apiece but these days they’re around $80 AUD. Amayama should stock them as well.
One last thing. The Museum has a library. I could have spent a week in there. Before closing I managed to get snaps of a kind of a Japanese periodical from many years ago with some local owners and their 4WD's. It was all in Japanese so all I could recognise were numbers, but here it is.
I was recently in the aforementioned and thought I'd take some pics for anyone interested. I'm not sure on the completeness/originality of it due to some minor issues such as the pointed bib lenses but it is what it is. It does feel like an older restoration. Happy scrolling.
WTB 1964[?] - 1971 FJ40/45 ignition barrel and key in Sydney, Australia. This is the type located in the dash. I have my barrel but no key and cannot find a locksmith to cut a new one. Happy to pay for overseas shipping.

That's crazy you have a RHD 45V in the States! I think he has sourced everything NOS except the floor bezel. Is yours an original part and are you willing to part with it?
