    Replace Rear Door weatherstripping?

Happy to contribute back - I benefitted a ton already from ih8mud and was surprised to find something "new"

    AIRBAG Spacers

I do not know - I can call next week but they are slammed right now with Overland Expo PNW.

    AIRBAG Spacers

FWIW I just this afternoon picked up my GX470 from Mule Expedition Outfitters with the upgrades detailed in Project Vehicle: Lexus GX 470 - Expedition Portal - https://expeditionportal.com/project-vehicle-lexus-gx-470/. Mule sourced the ARB Upper Control Arm, OME BP-51 Shocks & Coilovers...

    Replace Rear Door weatherstripping?

I did it - probably 20 minutes end to end and 1/2 of that was cleaning up the debris behind the trim. Entire piece pulled off very easy - there was some adhesive goo on the top edge where two pieces of metal were sandwiched together to make the seam. There might be more of that - I did get hit...

    Extended airbags vs rear coils

Air Lift 52420 (20 is the 2") - $75 on Amazon. They had me source the spacers and airbags, they are sourcing the OME and Timbren.

    Extended airbags vs rear coils

I am having Mule Expedition Outfitters do the exact same conversion (BP51, spacers, Timbren jouncers, new OEM air bags) - so I'll be able to report back on a before / after in about a month. I'm not looking for huge off-road gains but after 230k miles one of my (original) shocks is leaking and I...

    Replace Rear Door weatherstripping?

I tried tugging it out at the bottom and it _seems_ like it should come out all around - I just ordered the weatherstrip on eBay and will report back.

    Replace Rear Door weatherstripping?

Has anyone done this? Mine has a couple of tears - it isn't leaking but...I'd like to replace it and while the Lexus part is around $300 equivalent is available on eBay for less than $50. Some videos out there on YouTube about window weatherseal replacement including the rear quarter windows...

    Cracked Dash Repair

I saw a few folks mention cracked dashes and figured living in the PNW I was good. And then today I noticed a crack running from the center console up along the edge of the cowl to near the door. 225k miles, love the vehicle and last week the rearview mirror fell off and my wife said "your car...

School me air bag delete on stock GX470

How are you making use of the airbags after your modifications? And...would you do it again?

School me air bag delete on stock GX470

Thank you everyone for your suggestions - Mule Expedition Outfitters Overland Vehicle Specialists - https://dasmule.com/ is about 10 miles from my home and they sell and install ARB/OME and Dobinsons - they are recommending Dobinsons with new UCAs. I'm also thinking the ARB skid plates. We went...

School me air bag delete on stock GX470

That pocket looks like it would fit but...dang...that might hold a pack of gum! I am likely headed towards progressive coilovers and deleting the air bags. But I also need to find a local shop that can do it soup to nuts - like I said, I just don't have the time to play around with a solution.

School me air bag delete on stock GX470

I like the idea of a slightly smaller tire in the spare location - but if you have to change tires then you're going to be carrying the take off on the roof or in the cabin. One other thing about that video - you can see he remounted the license plate holder - and I'm thinking the rearview...

School me air bag delete on stock GX470

Thanks for the pointer to that video - I had not seen that. His build is a lot more involved than what I'm contemplating but it was great to hear the reasoning behind his decisions. And of course a lot of projects start small and accelerate down the rabbit hole. :) A couple points I liked from...
