    Spare Tire Modifications

this was when we were still on AHC, but the tire was so far up, the rear end of the tire had to be pushed down to get the tool in to lower the tire.

    Spare Tire Modifications

if you push the canister to the driver side and forward plus rotate it a little, there are another set of threaded holes that work with the oem hoses, and it lets you stagger it out from in-between the crossmember and the body. the other thing that helped me fit the 35,12.5,17 under was just...

and we’ve been colorado wheeling for 2 years no issues after soldering the resistor on top of imogene

Stalling not just in High, Hot, & Heavy

we’ve tried everything, and yet the simplest thing and cheapest thing to do first is bypass the fuel pump resistor by just soldering the 2 wires together, most 100series don’t come with the extra resistor anyway.

Stalling not just in High, Hot, & Heavy

well said by 2001Lc, however note that the multi speed fuel pump is controlled by 2 circuits. an open mode, which doesn’t use the circuit with the resistor aka your high rpm fuel pump circuit, and a closed mode which switches to put the fuel pump resistor inline, therefore reducing the pump rpm...

Stalling not just in High, Hot, & Heavy

the only reason i think it’s the resistor is because as soon as i soldered the wires together it’s been fine since.

Stalling not just in High, Hot, & Heavy

i was never able to confirm this, tried to make sense of the data heating the resistor with a heat gun and thermocouple here are my results.

Stalling not just in High, Hot, & Heavy

should be on the windsheild side of the airbox, there are 2, one has a black box covering the heat sink(mounted on top of the wheel well), and the other one mounted on the (left fender) next to the other circular box. i recommend cutting the 2 wires that go into it and soldering them together to...

    100 Series long travel kit

ok, the last part makes a ton of sense, i’ve thought about the twisting of a coil spring basically being an extremely long torsion bar. do you know what any of the land cruiser torsion bar spring rates are? in lbs/degree theta, or lbs/in? also haw many degrees does a typical coil spring twist...

I am also working on calculating rsi numbers, dont know if any of you still have 100s and know what your rsi is/was.Many more videos and pictures on @landcruiser_100 on Instagram

    100 Series long travel kit

alright, is there a way you can explain the math then? What engineering? im only 18 and just finished my first year of school, and this stuff fascinates me, i think instead of debating this, it might be your place in the community as an already graduated engineer to give insight on more complex...

    100 Series long travel kit

don’t have any sources, but math. currently studying mechanical engineering at a 4 year college in the west and think the quartic exponent in the equation below would make the amount of energy per extra degree of theta exponentially harder.

    100 Series long travel kit

ok, i understand you now. i know there we were nearing the limit of the front ahc protrusion bars when the system started to fail. and yeah diameter has a way bigger part in actual general stiffness than adding preload, but you need to remember that springs are progressive, even when you twist...
