Anybody interested in camping out in the Sierra's. I'm thinking around the Black Rock area (close to Monache Meadows and Kennedy Meadows). I'll be bringing my trailer and dispersed camping. There are a bunch of trails in the area and also close enough to make a day trip to the Sequoias...

We are in. We will do homemade salsa and chips. I would lead a Gold Mountain/John Bull run if there is anyone interested in hitting the harder trails. Brian

They changed the date to September 6-10. I signed up for the Thursday breakfast run.

I was wondering if it was going to happen in June with all the snow. Last years was in August and the weather was perfect. I’m probably going to do regardless if its june or August.

New Toyota short blocks are available. Online from Lemmon Grove Toyota is about $3500. You’ll spend around another $2500 for the gasget set and other while your at it parts but you would be springing for the gasget set and other parts regardless. Doing a quality rebuild probably is not much...

I just used a box wrench on those.

I now have a set of left handed bits and extractors along with spares for these. Won’t be repeating this. Trailmator had all the right tools and made a trail repair and I was able to drive it out. My list of spares keeps getting longer, fortunately the studs and cone washers are cheap and light.

Karnage on Golden Spike

To do a color change that looks good you would need to do all the door jams and ideally shoot the engine bay as well. Is a ton more work to do it right. Any of the name brand paints is good. BASF, PPG. Sherman Williams. I would do a base coat/ clear coat.
