still using this DIY storage rack for the rear in my 2018 LX570. it works well enough that i never found a need to buy an expensive drawer system. I drilled a few 1" holes in the plywood deck so i can rope stuff down if needed. Under a hundred bucks

i just got some coolant test strips in. although the 100K fluid looks nice and pink, it tests a pH of 11. that is HIGHLY basic, and far from neutral. i guess it is time for a full radiator flush.

^ i think the differnce is here in the north east, the trails are muddy and rutted. So just a short distance in I was dragging bottom. if it were dry, you could thru careful driving, avoid bottoming out

i came to a realization. To START an LX, you need to hold down the brake pedal. IF you placed a stout steel box under that brake pedal, with a lock to hold it firmly in place, that LX is NOT GONNA START. And if they somehow did start it, good luck driving with no brakes. So that is what i am...

i took that RX350 up thru Nova Scotia/Cape Bretton/Val D'Or in the winter with snow tires on it. Down to florida, out to California/Colorado. Lots of trips to Colorado, and brought back an Elk once to MA. It was just a nicely engineered car. Really its only drawback is that it is way too low...

yes you DO grow affectionate about it. but me giving it away to my daughter forced me to buy the LX, and it is soooo much better for road trips. RX350 is perfect for ONE MAN road trips. Get a partner in the right seat, and it is just too narrow! you are in each other's face the whole time

Yeah i did., it did NOT work at all. AND looks like hell. DON'T DO IT. the problem: look at your roof. it is not flat. it has a curve to it. so if you installed three bars, the middle one will be 1 " too high, the front and back will be 1" too low. So you can not lay anything on top...
