So, the pictured oil pump is from a B or 2B prior to Aug 1980?

Just so I'm clear---the oil pump pictured below, is pre 08.1980? Applies to all B, 2B, and 3B engines manufactured PRIOR to August 1980? Thanks.

This is what every factory manual and parts person says an oil pump for a B engine looks like. My B engine, and recently a member in Spain, has this oil pump. Can anyone explain what and why this is?

Home fabricated sunshade---yep, lots of holes.

Present system. Muffler is probably ok, location is my problem. Will fabricate to locate transverse under rear tub. Should cut heat and noise quite a bit. I'm in the Philippines so everything is fabricated from scratch and scrap. Thanks for the input and ideas. G
