B Engine oil pump

This is what every factory manual and parts person says an oil pump for a B engine looks like.

My B engine, and recently a member in Spain, has this oil pump. Can anyone explain what and why this is?

I have the 1979 B Diesel

There were the “3B version” that was used for B, 2B, 3B diesels from 08.1980

So, your upper photo is from 08.1980 oil pump version

Just so I'm clear---the oil pump pictured below, is pre 08.1980? Applies to all B, 2B, and 3B engines manufactured PRIOR to August 1980? Thanks.

There was no 3B PRIOR August 1980. Only B (and 2B in Japan).
