    Piglet Buildup

Hey Crusher, The brake setup i have works great. I havent done anything special, just the 60 MC when the 55 one went out. the truck is a 76, so the proportioning valve was made for discs anyway. no problems. Bash

    Piglet Buildup

Sorry it took me so long to answer. I am using a 60 series master cylinder. I dont have rear discs yet so no need to upgrade to the 80 series quite yet. The Ranger is really cool, and i found that they only made the electric shifter for a few years, due to problems they had with it. Mine...

Blowing fuses on the gauge cluster

Hey guys, I have a 76 Fj55 that keeps blowing fuses on the gauge/heater circuit (20A). Before I go and tear everything apart, is there anything common that I should know about? thanks in advance Bash

    FJ60 Power Steering Conversion Parts

Guppie, i did this in my 76 and found it to be very easy. Here is a link to my build thread: https://forum.ih8mud.com/fj55-iron-pig-preservation-society/381613-piglet-buildup.html With all due respect to the other posts, I am too ADD to read them all, so I am not sure if they have covered...

    Piglet Buildup

grncobra, the Dynamat works but i am not convinced it is the best solution. certainly not the cheapest. i have about $300 in dynamat and more in closed cell foam behind the headliner. i would be curios to try Lizard Skin or something, but i have blown my sound-deadening budget. my next step is...

    Piglet Buildup

Thanks guys. Here are some more pics. When I bought the rig it was used as a weekend warrior, taking the wife and the dogs to the beach and what-not. The PO had 33's on white spokes, shackle lift and a bull bar. All of that had to go. I always loved the look of a stock 55, and the stock rims...

    Piglet Buildup

Hey Guys, bare with me, I have been wanting to start a build thread but I am not too forum savvy. I bought my 76 Fj55 from CruiserMax in the Seattle area late winter in '09. He had done a lot of work to it (body and paint, sliders, rear bumper, etc) but finally realized he needed a 40 for the...

Seattle Cruiserheads headed to Black Hills

Brian i have to cancel this gathering due to lack of participation. I still plan on being there, and driving the 55, so if you see my rig at the motel across from Arby's in Spearfish, stop in and say hello. Matt

Seattle Cruiserheads headed to Black Hills

Brian, Thanks for the quick response. Although I will be driving the 55 out to SD, the wheeling group will consist of built 40's and maybe an 80. Would like to mix up some of the tougher trails with some of the lighter trails. I have been on a 4+ trail outside of Nemo that was a trail that...

Seattle Cruiserheads headed to Black Hills

Hello, I am planning a trip to the Hills and was in contact with Rhonda Mumm. I tried to email her just now through the DTC website, but it failed to go through. Is she no longer with the group? Planning a week long stay at the L Rancho in Spearfish the second week of June, with runs to...
