    Wanted 2H tach sensor

I have always wondered if it would not be possible to use a generic sender unit using the same Hall-effect principle. They all have 2 wires, essentially sending out a pulse for every revolution, no? The only thing to watch out for is the distance to the fly wheel, but you can get them with...

    Wanted 2H tach sensor

Had the same problem. Replacement part is $$$ so I carefully removed the resin around the wires in the sender unit and soldered on new wires, then used hot glue to waterproof it again. Been running fine for 3 years now. Cheers

    Super Glow - explained

Thanks. I have a related question that I haven't been able to find an answer for. What do the 2 resistors do that are mounted on the intake manifold? it would appear that they heat up something inside the manifold? or do they just provide the resistance needed to reduce the amps going to the...

No after glow - resistor issue? (1HZ 24 volt)

Hey there, am facing similar issues with my superglow system. Needs multiple glows to get going and I am not even in cold weather. I will check the resistors like you mention (not with the car at the moment), but can you tell me what the resistors warm up? The air of the intake manifold? and why...

    Super Glow - explained

Hi there. Great write up. I hope you are able to help me. My joining plate is broken and I can’t find this part anywhere on the interweb. Do you know if this is ‘just’ a piece of metal connecting the tips of the 2 resistors, or if it has another function as well. In other words, can I make a new...

    2H resistor plate

Hi all. I have a 12V superglow system on my HJ47 (2H). Have read a number of posts and was not able to find the answer I need. After noticing that starting was getting difficult I took a look at the connections. I noticed that one of the connectors between the two resistors was broken. I have...

I have a similar 12V superglow system on my HJ47. After noticing that starting was getting difficult I took a look at the connections. I noticed that one of the connectors between the two resistors was broken. I have tried to identify the part number but have not had success. Could you help out...

Wanted 1983 Radio Delete Plate (Wider one for revised late model grey Dash)

Hi Matt, That would be awesome, do you have a suggestion where I might find one that fits in a 1983 dash that has the knob cluster? I bought one off Ebay that I hoped would fit but it didn't. Did Toyota leave a hole there (behind the delete plate) if a radio wasn't installed? Thanks for your...

Wanted 1983 Radio Delete Plate (Wider one for revised late model grey Dash)

Sorry - can't send photo's because haven't found a box that fits. I do not want to mount a radio, but instead a storage box that is closed off by the radio delete plate. When I look at the plate it looks like it has 2 tabs on the side that will allow it to rotate down. That will allow me to...

Wanted 1983 Radio Delete Plate (Wider one for revised late model grey Dash)

Sorry for the late reply. What console box would be a good match to use together with this front cover? Ideally so that the cover can fold down to reveal the box behind it.
