I ordered the shifter bushing kit a while back and it was schedule to ship like July. No word so emailed 8/22 and received email same day saying ship by end of week was probable. Well, it's 9/10 and I havent seen anything. Another email sent today.
I'd love either of you to look at it. I have it at my office everyday. I do think it sounds more like the transmission linkage. I've used ACC in Atlanta for bigger stuff in the past so I'm interested in hearing your take on who to use to perform the work. Thanks. Steve
I'm sure somewhere in this forum someone has mentioned this before. My 80 has too much slack in the shifter or either underneath. It causes it even on rare occasions to slip into neutral if I accelerate too much without paying attention to it. I have replaced my motor mounts and I believe my...
So recently my 97 seemed to gradually become more sluggish turning over. It always cranked but made me wonder if the cold weather was zapping the battery. Then it started idling rough when cranked. After a few minutes or putting into gear and gassing it some it seemed fine until I shut it...
Gotta get them out of the garage. Take reasonable offers if anyone is interested. All four in good shape. From a 97 80 Series. I'm in Auburn, AL with travel to Birmingham and Atlanta pretty regularly.
Looking for a unicorn - a used rear bumper with spare mount for an 80 series and possibly accessory mounts. I'm in AL so gotta be reasonable driving distance or shippable. Thanks.
So I have replaced the muffler to tailpipe with a Borla exhaust and I'm now replacing the cats with a magnaflow setup. Might as well do the rest. Can someone helps me on part numbers, diagram, and source for parts for the manifold (section from engine to cats). Thanks in advance.
Steve
Godwin - I have the lower end OEM that I paid $530 for at dealership in Auburn. Do I need to go with the magnaflow 23120 for top end? I think gaskets may be linked up above?
What if I cut the cats out altogether, leave the front 02 sensor, and then they make a rear 02 sensor that will read clean as I understand it. Mechanic says can’t recode a 97 to cut off any check engine lights so need whatever this is he’s talking about to basically trick it into thinking it...
So second post regarding this issue - mechanic (if I want to call him that) says I need a new front cat to replace the aftermarket full line exhaust cat he installed in 2020 which is no longer under warranty. I never looked at the original before he replaced it. I bought an OEM one from Toyota...
