People do 'exact replacement of drained fluids' at a specified temperature. How does this correct previous inexact exchanges? What is the purpose of the 'overflow drain plug' if the volume replacement procedure is followed?

The amount required is probably related to condition & previous maintenance. I've seen other figures for operating temperature range. When I get a chance, I'm going to see if I can find a trans. temp readout on my Autel AL619. So far google has yielded nothing. Might have to get a specialized...

Is it possible to read the real time GX470 transmission temperature with Autel AL619? Or do I have to buy another gizmo? I sent an email to Autel tech support.

To clarify, one adds room temperature fluid wait till transmission temperature returns to 105F? I'm getting ready to do a measured 1-gallon exchange from the transmission cooler hoses.

Some of those line items require disassembly of suspension. They'll align (or at least check) to cover themselves. Someone skipped an alignment (not GX470, one of my trusted shops) when they shouldn't have - and didn't mention it. There was no change in the handling, I didn't suspect anything...
