I removed the injection pump cover plate, rack moves freely, but could be something else internal beyond my junk yard mechanic certificate!!!. I will send it to be rebuild down the road, may work for me as spare; the only difference I noticed...

Do you know what caused the runaway? That's scary, and unfortunate. I don't have exact knowledge but I bet there's still quite a bit that's compatible, the major changes are bore and stroke, so anything that doesn't relate to that might work...

The runaway on your NA (I assume) 2B is most likely the injection pump (rack stuck open). Is there any damage to the engine? Many of the 2B parts will be useable, but you need to establish what went wrong with the 2B.
