@Living in the Past and others, I have other manufacturer vehicle back in 60s and some did use up remaining inventory on factory during that model year transition period especially for minor changes. Does/did Toyota would have done that back then? For example, a 72 model has that driver panel...
While perusing classified section, I notice the driver side louver is not all on years (attached example). Based the few samples, the change seems to be between model year 1971 (no driver side louver) and 1972. Would any one have a more pin point change-over based on manufacturer month?
Thanks @ToyotaMatt for the video
Would like it to be a project and never done this before so will be lots of learning along the way. Minimum rust or surface rust and in driving condition. It will just be for on-road driving.
Thanks. Yeah I was worried after opening them up, cleaning process will get crud, dust inside the assembly. So should remove all the internals, then clean outside & inside, paint, install and reassemble internals.
Hello, I am new to Land Cruiser and as a matter I don't even have one. Have been keeping my eyes open for one on sale. Since I am in California, I am aiming for a 1975 and earlier to not to deal with smog.
Thanks,
Anthony
