A bit late for that. I just finished rebuilding the compressor, installing a new evaporator, new expansion valve, new o-rings, etc. Correct. I checked the idler bearing. No visible play. I took it apart and regreased it as well. The belt is stretching.

Hi all, I can't seem to keep tension on my A/C belt. It loosens up after a few miles until I eventually run out of adjustment. I've been through two belts this way. Alternator belts are perfectly fine. Has anyone had this issue?

I'm in Australia, and I found ordering the evaporator from the states to be much cheaper, so I was hoping to get away with a LHD unit.

Thanks for the replies. Yes, I did have a good look, and there are some holes in the y-pipe as well. I have sourced a good used exhaust which I will install. I've just never seen an exhaust rust this way, so I figured I'd post it up to see if I was missing something. I noticed the 1FZ idles...
