Thanks for the replies. I just noticed there is a spot on the intake that is lacking in clearance and the header is dented in. I assume that's not normal.
My plan is to remove them and restore as best as possible. I'll be searching threads for ways to do this.
I just picked l up this 2F engine recently. It will be going into a future build. Weber carb.
Help me identify this header please! Is it worth keeping - I sure hope so, it's got me excited!
Installed some new OEM rear brake access hole plugs after some brake adjusting. I'd recommend the 35011 plug as it has much more coverage than the 36020 which is not fully round.
Update:
I ended up going with the 42601-60262-03 wagon wheels. They fit my '73 FJ40 (with front disc brakes) without any issues. The 1.25" wheel spacers are now gone.
Thanks for this and I did see that thread, but doesn't tell me the difference between the 42601-60262-03 and the 42601-60362. Both are available and trying to figure out which ones to go for. I think the 42601-60362 are a wider rim? Of course the dealership has no details on either...
Thanks for the perspective on the split rims. I think I want to go with a modern wheel and am still focused on the Toyota factory rims I listed in my original post. Just can't find many details on the sizing of them and if they will work. They are relatively cheap and that is appealing.
I am looking at getting new wheels/rims and after spending hours searching this site, I am still not 100% certain of what to go with. Being in Canada makes things difficult and I want to avoid spending $400++ (CAD) on 5 new wheels.
I am not too worried in having the hubcap clips. I know about...
After a full winter of getting Debra ready to go, we finally got out to the trails of the Ghost PLUZ in the Alberta Rocky Mountains. Did every trail around. So much fun - didn't even need the winch (thanks rear locker) and no mechanical issues at all.
I was also surprised the Weber didn't...
