Thanks. It's definitely installed correctly and the cable moves the valve correctly as well. My thinking is it needs a good flush. The coolant is a nasty colour and hasn't been done for probably 5 years.

I've just replaced the heater control valve, old one was a bit leaky. Now at the max hot setting it only blows hot air for about 10 seconds before it goes lukewarm. If I turn it down to full cold then back to full hot it does the same thing again. Anyone any thoughts as to why it's doing this?

Apologies if I'm hijacking this a bit....can someone tell me if running a custom airbox over standard with no snorkel will improve airflow and turbo spool?

My old school diesel mechanic would back this up. I was freaking out about egts over 650C when towing and he said 900C is fine for short bursts. I've had the pump turned up and a hybrid turbo and it'll race up over 700C in no time towing a 2 T boat and trailer. Intercooler and more boost coming...
