that's what i was thinking as well but i wasn't able to find any that listed a GX470 anywhere near me. I ended up buying the two upper panels online after getting the part numbers from my local dealer. Not the cheapest route to be sure but certainly faster and easier.
My dog decided to express his displeasure with me by chewing up some of the plastic and fabric covered trim in the back on my 2008 GX470. He had almost ripped down the top panel on the drivers side but i was able to reattch a couple clips so i could drive without it flopping around too much...
My GX470 has steel sliders and front and rear bumpers from Coastal Offroad that seem to be only be painted and not very robustly protected from salt or otherwise rusting. Last spring I lighted sanded and hit a few of the worst spots with some rust prevention spray paint but of course the rust...
This woodplastic piece of trim came unglued and got warped in the recent cold we had and i of course broke it trying to flatten it out again. I pulled it off and was thinking of living without it be just doesn't look right woth the rest of the interior trim. Anyone know where i could get a...
you're talking about the plastic cover pieces that snap over the feet of the rack once mounted? I can check how many i have and in what condition they are when i get home later this week.
My 3rd row seats were removed before i got the vehicle so i'll have to check if those brackets are on the seats still. I know the 3rd row seat belts are still there because i pulled back the trim to stuff them back thru the holes so they didn't bounce around and otherwise get in the way. I'll...
Anyone in NOVA area need some OEM parts off my 2008 GX470? It's never going back to stock so no sense hanging onto this stuff!
First come first serve and pickup only.
My Goose-Gear Stealth Sleep Platform and drawers have finally showed up at my localish dealer soI'm trying to prep for next weekends install. We had the GG plate system and drawers on our LC200 so i know at least for the LC you have to remove the cargo area cvarpeting to bolt in the GG platform...
I've been getting advice over on the GX470 forum that the simplest solution to limiting the travel of my swing out spare tire carrier is to weld a piece ofsteel onto the bumper as a bump stop. Spare Tire Swing Out Piston Question -...
I've got the figure out something for sure before installing the new piston and quickly breaking it. Was thinking of trying to rig up some sort of steel cable maybe so I can remove it when I do want to open the door further
Thanks for the advice. Can you give me an example of what one looks like? My swing out will open Past 90% to like 120 or something so I can see where the weight on it would snap the piston without something else to control it.
Seems the piston on my spare tire swing out wasn't quite up to the task of controlling the weight since it snapped off after the door swung out and that was on level ground. Anyone have any experience with a more heavy duty piston i could add to control the weight, speed and travel of tire swing...
