WTB '76 55 rear tail gate door handle

This weekend when I tried to open the tailgate on my '76 pig the handle broke. Let me know if you have one. I am in TN 37174.

Not yet. ACC in Atlanta said they would look. Nothing solid yet.

I put a moderate effort forward a few months ago and came up empty. OEM versions are NLA through Toyota unless you get lucky w/a place that has one hidden on a shelf somewhere. I'm sure there are used examples around if you can find someone who is willing to part w/one - I couldn't!

I ended up fabricating a replacement handle. It is not the prettiest solution, but it works. I posted some pics in my thread:

I'm pretty sure i have a good handle on one of my spare tailgates. I have to take a drive to get to them, but these things seem to be getting rare enough to pay for the gas.
