Hey all,

I'm bringing in a container from AU with my truck and a bunch of parts for other people. My guy emailed this to me

2008 HZJ79 pickup that was just rolled with the V8 turbo diesel and 5 speed. The engine only has 15,000 kms on it. Would be pretty bloody cool(c: Has air con and power steer.

This would be an amazing install for someone.

Price is $14K USD including shipping to Boston for the full half cut including 5 speed transmission and transfer case. Not looking to make $$$, just trying to offset some of my shipping costs. Might be able to negotiate the price down a bit with the boys in AU.

Need to have $$$$ by Nov 7th if interested. I'm shipping my new BJ40 (new DD for me) and a bunch of stuff for others.

It would be sweet. too rich for me but I'm sure someone here will be interested. makes the mind churn as to what to put it in.

This includes everything you need to do a transplant into your vehicle including wiring, mounts, radiator, etc. they'll cut off the front half of the truck and they'll keep the sheet metal, grille, etc (stuff you couldn't use anyway) you get the engine, trans, transfer, and everything under the hood. complete drivetrain top to bottom

i'm torn.

i have a customer whom i'm building a sweet troopie for. it's already got a turbo'd 2H and h55f,..........

do i tell him about this or not?!

would be so sweet to install this and then get to drive it around a little.

hmmmmmmmmm

yeah you have to tell him. you have to be able to drive it once installed. so you will forever have a bench market of what ht eultimate troopy would drive like..

i've driven the rig around with the turbo'd 2H before we tore into it. a lot peppier than my 2H powered troopie.

i'll have to email him. man, that would be the coolest conversion i've ever done. well, that rig is already quickly making it's way to the top of the list.........

hijack over.:o

Anyone else?? Trying to fill this container up. If enough people buy enough stuff then the price will actually go down as I have shipping figured into that cost. Not making $$$ off of it but splitting the costs between 2 trucks, a half cut, and a bunch of random parts will certainly drop it a decent amount.

This has got to be just SCREAMING to be put into a troopy or LV.

Really.

A Half-cut is the way to go for such a modern engine. If I had the time or money, I'd be all over this.

Dan

Price includes shipping too so doing this half cut and shipping it on your own would be about $4K more.

You know, I never really negotiated this price so I bet I can get it down to around $12K including delivery. Can't promise that but I never asked since I wasn't sure people would be interested.

Sorry to hear about your wife's job. Everyone is on edge these days.

thanks john. at least we know it's coming and we're trying to plan accordingly.......

so who wants this combo? i'll be more than happy to make them a smokin deal on installing it into their rig if they're on the west coast! :grinpimp:

Well, I haven't bought it yet. Everything coming over is prepaid by other people. More of a community container buy. My amigos down there have the rig in their yard for sale.

Thanks for the offer on the install. It would be a sick set up for basically any rig. I'd like to see it in an LV personally.

If you price out used diesel engines here with 300,000 kms, a 5 speed, xfer, ac, PS, and the works and compare it really is a nice deal.

As stated, only trying to offset my shipping costs for my BJ40 that's coming too.

Have someone genuinely interested if the Aussie boys can wiggle the price a bit. (

Anyone get the "wiggle" reference? Anyone with a 2 year old would...)
