Everything is in like new condition. The grease gun & two extensions are still sealed in plastic. Complete with paper listing all items. Tools have the markings Toyota Motors. The screwdrivers are wooden handled & the tips of these are perfect (no marks to indicate any use) I'll post pictures of everything here this evening. I'm looking for $550.00. Not trying to rip anyone off. That's just what I thought it was worth. If I have no takers, then I'll placing it up for grabs on Ebay to give everyone a shot at it & hopefully the market demand is reasonable.

Here's the link to a picture of the tool kit...

This is a high resolution picture. So, it will take a while to download. But you should be able to zoom in to read the card insert and the tool markings.

mike, have i told you lately that you're insane> :D

I currently have an individual in line to purchase the tool kit, however...

This buyer's decision is pending until viewing of the pictures. Treerootco, you're next in line if the buyer decides they're not interested.

Unfortunately, I couldn't get my hands on the TEQ embossed Tool Box or Manual...

The guy I purchased this from sold it after his grandfather passed away. According to him, the tool kit was stored away once the cruiser was purchased new. I missed out on the opportunity to buy the TEQ tool box to go with it. The owner's manual was nowhere to be found. This is probably the only one I've seen this complete & original. Most of them seem to be missing something or have tools swapped out. If you'll notice the TEQ embossed wrench holder, I think you can still get these. However, the more recent varieties don't have the TEQ stamp & the wrenches have a different marking. The screw driver's with wooden handles are not frequently seen & have different markings than some of the kits I've come across as well. There are a few stains on the canvas of this kit, but it still ranks up there with the best I've seen. The clasp still has most of its paint in tack & the card insert is the original. I like the older cruisers & my intentions for buying this kit was to have a useful factory tool kit (unlike the later ones). The more rare I came to realize this was, the more I came to realize I couldn't use a tool kit that was such a clean piece of history. I'll take detailed photos of the contents and tools before shipping the kit off to its new owner. I'll post them up for a while if someone wants to document these in more detail.

rob et al-

you get the box or the canvas, not both. boxes don't have the hammer (see john-landpimps photo set).

mighty cool set!

Interesting... I'm surprized more boxes aren't out there then.

The individual I purchased the tool kit from had no idea about cruisers. So, I wouldn't be surprized if the box wasn't a toyota box then. I am curious though... if buyers had a choice of the canvas or the box, then why aren't more box around. I seem to see canvas tool kits every so often. The last tool box I saw for sale was a few years ago.

Your kit is very clean :) I need to clean mine up a bit. The plastic on my screwdrives has discolored them a tad where there was grease etc.

Plus there is another guy in our club that got a 68 from the original owner with a complete kit minus owners manual...

I'm still scanning my oem owners manual and treeroot can post it online. He has the ramsey pto manual I scanned.

High res. scan of the insert card...

wesintl,
That's a nice kit. I see you're missing the card. Here's a scan of this one. It may need to be cleaned up a bit with photoshop or something, but at least you'll be able to have an exact copy to print to card stock.

thank you for posting that :)

Wes is actually the one who send me the link to your thread. I can't decide if Wes was being nice or mean...he knows I have a problem when it comes to buying really expensive Cruiser parts. There is a couple nice early hubcaps Georg has on ebay right now. 61 dollars and a few days to go...

AWESOME superduper. THANK YOU!! THat scan is awesome.. I'm sure treeroot can use it somewhere on his site ;p

I am missing the card. Rick D said he has a few reproduction ones so hopefully he'll dig one up for me.:D

That scan is great, you should be able to make a copy from that easy. When I did the FJ25 fuse box card I noticed how the typeset was done by hand, and a pretty cruddy job at that. See how a lot of the letters are not aligned vertically and some like the P and G didn't print completely?

Oh yeah, nice tool kit. ;) Slackers. ;p

Sorry Treeroot...

The interested party has already purchased the item... Sorry for not giving you a heads up.

The interested party is interested in selling, $550 plus shipping. Just extending the first shot courtesy, until Sunday. No takers by Sunday we'll find out what the market bears.

PM me your intent. Basically museum quality, I can send pictures later tonight. No layaway. ;)
