Revised Ad:
What: 1960 FJ25L
Where: Higganum, CT (my barn)

I bought this 25 twelve years ago as a roller from Colorado Springs. The previous owner was in the middle of a drivetrain swap and had scrapped the original engine/tranny/transfer. Fortunately I had previously bought a FJ25 which was completely rotted away, but relatively complete. I swapped in that drivetrain with some new seals in the tranny, transfer and PTO and have been driving it / storing it ever since. At some point I changed the motor again with a very healthy '64 F with low miles. My goal with this has been to keep it running and driving and bring as much as possible back to stock as opportunity presents. The original parts on it or that come with it, reads like a who's-who list of the cruiser community. A few years back Jim (OCD) built a beautiful repro canvas for it. Mike replaced the rear sill with 100% metal this year. There is no rust or rot on this vehicle. Right now it pretty much sits in the garage until I need a winch (which finally did in the original cable this year) or it needs a drive around the block.

Running, driving, registered insured in CT.

I'm not terribly ambitious to sell it, but if you're interested I'd be glad to send you pics and talk on the phone, or show it to you. Send me a PM

:D

Thought I would try different sales tactics for the semi annual attempt to sell.

Seriously, that's the price. Everything there or included to return 100% original. Registered and completely road ready. OCD top, recently saturated with Canvak.

I will take pictures, talk for hours, whatever, to be sure this is the right vehicle for you. I will not lower the price however. I really would expect someone to come look at this or spend many hours with me doing research. Plenty of cruiserheads in the area who would be glad to take a look at it for you.

Send me a PM, I'll get an email which will wake me up.

Will ship anyhwere if YOU make allthe arrangements.

Also forgot to add..... if it will make the sale .............I would throw in all the pieces which make up the consecutively numbered unit. You figure out how to move it in it's 33.3% assembled state. Should be plenty of pictures of both 25's scattered around here, and an abandoned build thread too. Otherwise I need to focus on that thing so I have something to slap a plow on and drive in the salt. :meh:

Jim, I wish I had the cash to buy this very cool 25. I'm sure finding a correct vintage 25 engine won't be the hardest thing to do to eventually do a true restoration, but I'd be thrilled to just drive it as is, and enjoy!!!

Again...wish I had the cash...:beer::beer::beer:

Bump for a great guy and a great truck. Are those the minutes for door number 4 or do we get whatever is behind the door our GPS leads us to?

:D That is Door #4! Door #1, 2, or 3 could get you a little Ford tractor and assorted power equipment, or a fairly nice FJ45, or....................a pile of cruiser related parts that loosely resembles a FJ25. :grinpimp:

Nice rig. The ad sounds a little familiar though :D

:o Easy to sit back and have fun at someone else's expense anonymously. If it gave you a laugh, better save it. I'll be changing it later tonight. ;)

Bump for a picture I found while searching for something else.

Recruited for duty at the local MV show a couple years ago:
