BJ42 Wiring diagram

[1982BJ42]

Hey just wonding where to aquire an accurate wiring diagram for the 42. I have the Max Ellerys factory workshop manual 1972-1990. The diagram I have been trying to use (its very very small print) is titled "land cruiser bj40 bj43 & HJ47 series electrical wiring diagram 1981 productin vehicle" is this applicable to my 1982 BJ42??

There is one for BJ60 and HJ60 series 1981,

And larger diagrams one titled heavy duty and the other lightduty, both for 1985 production vehicles.

Anyone running a 42 know where to turn?

I have one blown up to 24" X 36" it has wiring diagram & plug location wiring diagram. It for a 1980 BJ40 Canada and USA models, I used this for a 82 BJ42 wiring harness and it is very close the same.

I also have the Toyota 82/83 BJ42 wiring diagram but it's crap (not worth the paper it's printed on)

I need one as well but for RHD 12volt for an 83 for I want to rewire the whole rig!

I'm going to try to print it out at work on 4x 11x17 paper - but it's labeled as being for a 40, I figure the 42 is going to have some differences?

Add me to the list of those looking for wiring diags for a RHD 42.

The only difference i could think of, is the dash clock of a 42, not shown on this diag, maybe some other dash accessories. Mechanicly they must be alike. 40 didn't have power steering, 42 did. I doubt anything electric is related to the PS in a 42

Anyhow i've been using this diag on my 42 and it has been right on.

Size of sheet must be ANSI D size, or the metric equivalent, i scanned the diag i have here and stiched it all up together, to make this large jpg

Actually I started to splice it apart in photoshop, but realized that it is way bigger than 4x 11x17. Decided I should do the chopping at home so I can take my time and make things nicely overlap and fit onto the page sizes that I can actually print.

Factory 1982 BJ-42 wiring diagram?

Hello,
I had purchased a factory wiring diagram manual on e-Bay. If you look at the links posted here, you will note the size about 22"x30" aprox. The print and details are scaled to that size and are legible.
I am willing to have some copies made for anyone who would like a copy of the diagrams listed on the front of the manual. I will do this for my costs only, no markup or profit for me, a service to fellow cruiserheads, who have collectively helped me get up to speed. If you are interested post here and shoot me a PM and I will tally up and have some made at kinko's or something like that. I do have a job so this is more a sourcing information rather than emergency help. To give everyone a shot at this offer I will allow about a week or so before I go to the copy shop.

BTW This manual has wiring diagrams for FJ, BJ 40 series, FJ, BJ 60 series also. I will be going to Surf n Turf for Saturdays festivities, so delivery there is a possibility.
P.S. Just got a price quote for the B&W copy of $5.00 per copy. Shipping will be from 95006 in the shipping container of your choice, envelope or tube. I am going to get one of my copies laminated so I can use it as a table cloth/protecter.

And my BJ42 diagrams showed up today, and they are totally awesome!!! The laminated one is fantastic. That's getting hung on the shop wall, for sure. I might just have to get the uncoated one laminated someday, too.
