Looking for a decent pair of short (early) running boards. Pic for attention. My `66 has the longer, later version. Thanks for reading, go have yourself a great day!

Short running boards are pretty rare. I have had a total of one set come across my steps (pardon the pun) in 36 years.

I have a pair of 1971 running boards that someone put a lot of effort into making into shorties. $150 plus the ride for the pair. I’m sure if you can find a pair of shorties, they’ll be more than double in price.

Short running boards ended in 64! You have the correct 65 and up long running boards.
The `66 pictured is staying as is Whitey. I'm building a `65 with corrugated top, be great to find a short pair to go with it. Or possibly fab a set? What would you want for the one? I guess all I'd need is a measurement on one, front to tail. Looks exactly like a long pair cut short? Am I wrong?

I had a chance to bag a nice set some years ago for very fair price. Didn't think I'd ever need them. Those shorties you have there Mark remind me of a pair of snowshoes honestly. Someone may have put in the effort, but they kinda fell short. Offer appreciated, but I'll pass in lieu of possibly giving it a go myself.
