1986 FJ60 for sale in Panama City, Florida
Selling my 1986 FJ60 Land Cruiser. I have owned the truck for several years and it was always going to be my restoration project at retirement. I retired last month but plans changed due to my wife’s health.
I replaced the fuel tank with a new factory tank last August, but the truck has been sitting since then.
It comes with a bunch of spare parts like new mirrors still in the box, brand new full carpet kit, spare factory grill, aftermarket seat mounts to make adding different seats easier and a bunch of other stuff. Will try to get a list in the next couple of days.
The bad:
Body has some dents but none terribly bad.
Winch housing cracked when I was pulling my neighbors skid steer out of a ditch, have parts from Warn to repair.
Front grill needs some hardware to make it more secure.
Missing some A/C components so no A/C at this time.
Choke knob broke - have a new factory choke knob assembly in the box to fix this.
No radio
Drivers seat bottom is torn
Drivers door was always a little wonky so I got a nice used door and put on the truck, still have original door.
For some reason the truck will only crank and run with the choke pulled and it will not rev past the high idle with the choke pulled out, it ran fine in August when I installed the new tank. Maybe trash in the carb but I can not work on it due to other responsibilities.
The good:
ARB front bumper
New front and rear main seals for the 2F three years ago.
New steering gear box two years ago
New seals for transfer case
Lots of spare/new parts
Swing away spare tire/jerry can carrier
Mechanical locker in rear end
Truck has a thin truck bed liner coating, did this because when we lived in Georgia I was going to build it to trail/fire road ride and did not want to worry about scraping the paint.
It is thin enough to easily remove if you wanted to remove dents and paint.
Rust free truck but living at the coast now I just noticed today a couple of spots of surface rust trying to start.
It has always been a good vehicle and I will miss the opportunity to build what I had hoped to with it.
