H55F with split case for sale out of my '82 FJ43. Gear box is from either a 60 or 70 series.
The good: I have not driven it many miles, but it shifts very nicely through all 5 gears and reverse. The transmission makes no unpleasant noises. The transfer case shifts well into 4wd high and low. All the parts are there, so it will rebuild easily and well. Speedometer output works smoothly.
The bad: the transfer case leaks and the case should be replaced (see pics). Using your split case on the back of this would be perfect because you'll have all the bolts, etc.
