Up for sale is an incredibly honest, highly original Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40. Powered by the legendary 4.2L 2F inline-six engine mated to a manual transmission. This rig is an absolute time capsule and is being sold exactly as-is, ready for its next chapter as a rugged driver or a classic restoration project.

  • Engine: Strong, highly complete factory 2F engine featuring the original yellow heavy-duty air cleaner assembly and factory valve cover. Un-swapped and un-messed with.
  • Body: Desirable full-steel hardtop configuration with original rear "ambulance" doors.
  • Interior: Remarkably complete factory dashboard, original steering wheel, factory under-dash heater, and dual rear folding jump seats. Includes a vintage mounted fire extinguisher and dash compass.

And do tell me more about the highly desirable hard top? Is it the titanium edition?

Hi there! Thanks for reaching out. I completely understand wanting to see under the diamond plate—rust hiding under panels is always a big question on these classic 40s. Ill be adding some clear photos by this evening of the metal behind/underneath those areas to the listing gallery so you can see the exact condition of the tub.

Regarding the hardtop: It is a highly desirable factory OEM removable hardtop, but to clarify, Toyota never made a 'Titanium Edition' for the vintage FJ40 series (that trim name belongs to the modern 2000s FJ Cruisers). It’s the classic, rugged factory steel and fiberglass top setup correct for this era. Let me know if you have any other questions!"

At the moment I do have one photo I can post. I'm on my way to the FJ40 to get some other requested photos. I will get more of the wall behind the diamond plate.
