I have 3 (2 1/2) J55 Cruisers I would like to sell as a lot. I had begun to restore the 73 (on the right) as a 4 speed, ('74 Transmission, Transfer case) but I have had some change in plans. I went through the tailgate and electrical all working now, includes a rear door gasket from Spector I have not installed and two rear window motor gears I picked up for the other two assemblies for spares. have all the linkage still. The transmission or the transfer was blown. There is some superficial rust on the floor and there is some major rust on the roof. Most doors are solid except the driver side. I have the hardware, but I have not replaced it. It has the original F 50 motor, and the odometer shows 54184 miles. It turns over but I have not done a pressure test. Spark plugs were clean. It has taken a hit on the right front. I'm not sure how serious, but the hood is sprung and has rust. I have most of the electrical working with exception of the horn and turn lights. The seats have rat damage to the upholstery, but foam rubber is still in place. Everything in the engine compartment looks to be original. The doghouse has some crinkles near the right fender. The radiator seems intact. The rims are after market and wide. It has had a rollbar installed. It has a title but has sat over 20 years. Wheels are wide steel with 11X 15 Photos below.
Cruiser 2 was my driver vehicle up until I parked it 20 years ago because of charging issues from a dual battery installation that was done incorrectly. It is both a 1973 (body) with the 1974 frame. It has a 283 V-8 conversion onto a 1973 4-speed Transmission/ Transfer. It is heavily rusted on the floorboards and body. I was in the process of cleaning up the electrical. The rear tailgate motor is not working at present; however, I have little doubt that a cleanup will get it running fine. There is a spare rear window gear assembly I have refurbished that works fine. The front seats were added and they appear to be from a tractor or truck and include shocks. The back seats are rat damaged and need to re-upholstery. I do have an extra back seat upright that's in a bit better shape. I have replaced the driver side doors with those from the 1974 and they are tight with no rust. The back passenger door closes tight but is rusted through near the rocker arm. The passenger door needs to be replaced. It has Warn hubs and a Warn 8000 lbs. Warn wench I was using to pull brush around the property before it was parked. I have not tested it. The hood is rusted out. Has a spare. Wheels are factory welded with LT235/75 R15
Cruiser 3 was bought with Cruiser 2 and used for a parts rig. It was slow rolled and that it what the body damage was from. The tailgate assembly is straight but has rust damage at the body. The floor is clean with some light rust. I had hoped to use it to replace the floor in Cruiser 2. The roof is clean for half the body until where it rolled. I was hoping to replace the roof on Cruiser 1. The hood for this vehicle is rust free, but has some damage. The doghouse is in good condition and includes a condenser for factory AC. It has AC but not sure if that works. I have doubts. I salvaged quite a bit of parts from this rig, including the instrument panel, steering box, 4-speed tranny, and it came with a Trans-Dapt Chevy to Landcruiser adaptor. that includes instructions. This looks to be complete. I was going to use the 4-trans/transfer with this for the 73 and I have included photos of the gears. It shifts smooth but would need a restoration, with seals and gaskets. Other items include both drivelines some window glass, transmission cover. The wheels are wide chrome aftermarket with 11X15 tires
I'm not sure what it's all worth But I know it has some value and would like to see it go to some one that appreciates it. I was asking $12000, but I can see that's too much, so I'm asking $8000; however, ALL offers will be considered. I'll be posting this on Bring a Trailor and the Facebook, but I figured I'd start here
