I’m selling my California 1978 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40. This is truly a rare time capsule. This is an honest, highly original California model that I have spent the last year and a half carefully going through mechanically and cosmetically. Because it was in such amazing shape to begin with, this is not a frame-off restoration, but was methodically and meticulously gone through in it’s entirety to render a clean, dependable, well-sorted driver that retains its original character.
This FJ40 is currently registered in Ventura California, has a clean California title making it ready to enjoy immediately.
This wasn’t a quick flip. Nearly every system has been inspected, serviced, repaired, or refreshed with reliability and functionality as the primary goal. There is some natural fading of paint and minor blemishes but to me this makes it even better. It has its character like that old baseball glove instead of one that’s been painted over. This one is as cool as they come and in amazing original condition.
