1977 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40
Manufacture date – 12/76. Approximately 49,000 miles. True mileage unknown.
We have owned this truck for 3 years. We have spent all this time trying to make the truck mechanically perfect. A ton of work has gone into this truck. Here is a list of some of the work completed:
-New Old Man Emu 2 ½” lift kit, with new shocks
-New Tires – 255/85R16 Falken Wildpeak (4 new tires plus a new spare tire and wheel)
-New Weber Carburetor
-New Gas Pedal
-New Brakes
-New Fuel Lines and Gas Tank Gaskets
-New Wiring Inside and Out
-New PCV Valve
-New Heater Piping
-New Water Pump and Hoses
-New Belts
-New Batteries with Mounts
-New Distributor
-New Alternator
-Transmission and Transfer Case Gone Through and Re Sealed.
-Front Knuckle Axel Service
-All Fluids Changed (Engine Oil, Coolant, Transmission, Transfer Case, Brakes)
-Much, much more work has gone into this truck. All documentation of work is available.
Everything that wasn’t working on the truck was repaired or replaced.
Driveline work was done by Goatwerks in San Bernardino, CA. All other work was done locally by the Land Cruiser experts at JPR Automotive.
The truck has Vintage Air brand air conditioning and heat in the dash. Warn locking hubs. Warn 8274 winch. Conn-Ferr aftermarket bench seat. Conn-Ferr jerry can holder for spare tire. Aftermarket performance header. Aftermarket radiator.
The truck is not painted it’s original color and the interior is not original, but still nice. We have left the patina on the body to show the truck’s character. There is some rust on the rear doors, but nothing that can’t be repaired easily. The body and frame are good.
Asking $35,000 or best offer. No trades. Nothing wrong with the truck – just time to move onto another project. Happy to answer any questions.
