For sale 40-series 1976 FJ40- Frame Off Resto

1976 FJ40 with a small block Chevy, Ranger overdrive, stock 4 speed and transfer case. Minitruck power steering conversion. Holley Sniper EFI with the Hyperspark ignition. Ceramic coated exhaust. Factory front disc brakes. Frame has been blasted and powder coated. I cut out and repalced all rust, sandblasted all body panels, before painting. I did the rust repair, body work, priming, and blocking, but had the final base/clear done by a professional resto shop. Overland metric JIS stainless hardwhere where possible. I used factory weather stripping for every part available. Dakota Digital guage cluster. Lots of City Racer parts. Serviceable factory parts were blasted and powder coated or painted. I had Torfab go over it, regear it, and install new old stock warn hubs for the long birfields (super cool they had some on the shelf!!). Torfab also rebuilt the transfer case Brake lines are all brand new. Yada yada yada. You get the idea.

There are little things to do still. I need more heat shielding on the exhaust- the floor gets hot behind the driver seat. The break pedal switch is sticky. I don't think I got the throwout bearing perfectly adjusted (a little tricky with these SBC swaps), so there is just a little bit of noise.

Mileage is completely unknown. A prior owner installed the SBC. It runs really well, so I didn't rebuild it.

My mentality when I did the restoration was that I would kee this thing til I die. But in reality, I just never really drive it so it's time to put the money to use elsewhere.
