Today had to be one of the most beautiful days of 4 wheeling I have experienced. From snow covered pastures and mountain ranges to winter wonderland high desert panoramas we experienced it all today. Oh and mud caves, mud filled washes, snow ball fights, slippery drop offs, falling sandstone and UFO's? A day to remember for sure. I have hundreds of good pics but I can post just few until tomorrow, have to be at work in 6hr :(

Need a photo for your Christmas cards? And they say we don't have seasons in California. :D

I love Anza! Those pictures are great. I'm heading out in late Jan to celebrate my bday - can't wait.

Where is that narrow slot canyon? That looks pretty awesome.

Great pictures, thanks for sharing.
I haven't been to Anza in a few months and am ready to go back.

That is Sandstone Canyon. They just closed a big portion of it which is a shame, but it is still worth seeing.

Nice pics Scott!

Great pictures Scott. I've seen snow very close to Anza-Borrego, but never actually IN Anza-Borrego. Freaking awesome.

It looks like it was a fantastic trip. :D

Gotta love snow in Anza! Went wheeling out there in the snow a couple of years ago...Good times.

Hiking?????? Did the Ford break down??? Sorry, could not resist. :p

Hey guys thanks for the comments. We were cruising south on the S2 and the big Anza Borrego State Park sign was covered in snow, wish I had snapped a pic. The mud cave we were in had new ravines cut into it that were 1-2 feet deep and it was really really muddy:). The big storm really moved a lot of debris/ We created fresh tracks in several places in the park. Even Fish Creek had no discernible trail, it was completely covered in new mud across the whole canyon and there are several new large landslides but none that were blocking the canyon thank goodness.

If anyone plans to head out there between Christmas and New Years post up or call me at 949 235-1494. Merry Christmas!
