Well, my 2nd and 3rd rows are finally reclining. I had a couple hours on Sunday to play around and recliners is what I ended up with! :grinpimp:
I did just the EZ recliner mod where you remove the stopper pin. Very simple, all you do is remove the plastic covers on the sides, unbolt the 3 bolts to detach the upright portion of the seat. Then you take a hack saw and cut off the rivited bolt. You only need to make one cut and then the bolt slides out from the inside, this is why you need to remove the upright portion of the seat.

So with the 3rd row you get a few settings to lean back in and with the second row you get just the far setting wich is probably around 70 deg not fully flat and perfect for taking a little napsky!

In the future I may opt to add the gears from MOT or from a cruiser at a wrecking yard but I will need to get a drill press to replace the rivits with a bolt. Personally I would go the route of adding a gear rather than hacking up all four seats.

Oh and one other thing, I thought the second row would snap back up when someone sat up from leaning back but it doesn't so you just pull it back up and it locks into the standar position.

Any of you done this mod or the full mod of swaping rear to middle row gears?

I'd like to do this to my 2nd row seats. I might just get the recliners from MOT though.

Did I read somewhere that you could swap 2nd and 3rd row 'hinges'?

Yes, you can swap them but then you are cutting up 4 brackets and you will need a press and threader (Whatever that tool is called) to put them back together. Where as if you buy them from MOT you only have to hack-up 2 brackets. So it's half the work. You might just be happy with the mod I did where it's either up like normal or reclined. I am pretty happy with it.
