OK since the weather has been so crazy here are some details about the snow run this weekend. There are going to be some requirements to go on this run and they will be checked before e head to the mtns.

1. You will need to have a tow strap on your vehicle
2. You are going to need good stront tow points on the front and rear of the vehicle.
3. You are going to need to have a shovel.

Also be prepared to air you tires down between 8-10psi. The snow should be thick and deep. Also be prepared to be up there all day and possibly all night if something were to happen, so come prepared for cold weather. Have a plan to get you tires aired back up, some people will have compressors but I am not sure how many. Also I am not sure how far we will even make it so there might not be a safe place for kids to play. The road gets narrow in some parts and a drop off on one side. Be prepared to turn around if it gets deep. If you are having problems and getting stuck, dont try and go farther.

It is rumored that dry creek is closed or was closed. I am going to try and find out. If it is closed the run will be canceled. Also if it is raining the run will be canceled. You can get snowed in really quick up there and its simply not worth it.

The meeting location will be'

Prince mart in Lemon cove at 8am leaving at 8:30 sharp

Be prepared for a long day, I have been up there until 6-7pm on new years day before.

excellent requirements

perhaps someone has a chainsaw?

one of the biggest problems with deep snow runs is the potentially slow forward progress. having a nice tow strap (or better a recovery strap) ready to go on the back of your rig sure keeps things moving.

my dads new rig has 42" swampers. Casey your truck is also a snow hound. a few big rigs like those up front will knock the snow down and keep the caravan moving faster.

I may go or I may not. Depends how I feel when I get up. May just stay home and watch bowl games this year.

Don't think were going.... Ceci wants to go if I go but I don't want to take the baby out so fatherhood comes first sorry guys..

60% chance of snow. I am not going, don't have a top and don't feel like freezing my ass off.

My front locker is now working, I pulled the rear bumper and mudflaps off, the spare tire will go inside, and things are looking good! :D

...Well, as long as the weather's okay.

P.S. I do have all the above requirements as well. The only thing I'm missing is the larger tires which were mentioned before, but I think Slickrock is on the same size, so I should be able to keep up with him. :hillbilly:

I am not going. Looking at the forcast it is going to be snowing up there starting around 1am and throughout the entire day. The clouds are already coming in and the temp is really dropping. Just dont think that it would be smart to go up there when a storm is coming in. If anyone goes hope you have fun but stay safe

Still going
Count so far
1. Dads super linked up scout
2 me and the hummer
3. Dr Warner and his built tj
4. Dan and his fj
5. Don and his 80
6. Dan and his 80 perhaps

I wouldn't" go if I had an open top either. This week we took the half doors off my dads scout and fitted some full roll up doors.

My little bro is riding with me in the h1. We can take someone (or 5) with us if you want to ride

I'm going to meet Dustin and his Dad at the hospital in Hanford at 7:00. We will head up to the prince mart. Can someone confirm, we turn left off of 198 at prince mart and it is the first right after that to head up the trail?
