Hey Folks

I'm done......I've got a pair of plastic cup holders mounted on the top dash of my BJ71....usually where the Altimeter/inclinometer goes on other 70 models. The cup holders came with my cruiser when I purchased it a few years back.

Since I've owned my cruiser i've had about 100 cups of coffee spill on me as I make turns. Are there any cup holder solutions for the centre console available??? I'm an ebay junkie but I can't seem to narrow down a search of something that would work.

Suggestions appreciated.

This probably should be asked in the Peace Canyon forum. :)

Sorry Lava.

I personally use a large thermos mug that I rest between the front of the e-brake and the drivers seat. I sits there through most cornering except for the aggressive stuff. My mug won't fit in any cup holder design.

I don't see any possible locations for a standard cup holder in a cruiser.

When I had my BJ74, I had one of these DIN cup holders that sat under my radio. Worked reasonably well, but it did rattle a bit and when being used, obstructed the radio. Taller cups also had the tendency to hit the lip that sticks out on top of the 70 series dash.

Us posers need our morning coffee and lattes, my dry cleaning bill is getting ridiculous :grinpimp:

Mostly I'm concerned about the coffee spilling into the vents and screwing something up down there.

thanks for all the suggestions, the tuffy products seem to be the best bet right now.

You'll have to lose the rear heater to use the Tuffy... which I must admit is looking more and more appealing. The stock center console is a lot of lost storage, and I can count on 1 hand the amount of times I've used the rear heater in 17 years.
