This is the first meeting for 2012. A few things were discussed in the meeting:

  1. We would like to see more members involve with club activities, to help Kevin to grow the club.
  2. Phil needs help with membership registration. This new person will take over the responsibilities after trained by Phil. Please contact LandcruiserPhil if you are interested in this position.
  3. The group decided to keep copperstatecruisers.org, copperstatecruisers.net and copperstatecruisers.com
  4. We would like to see more runs. Pete proposed every 4th Sat of the month run, and he is executing it.
  5. Ways to organize "trip reports" were discussed. I don't remember any conclusion from the discussion. I will start with a simple page for recent runs and refine it as we go, add future runs to it, and add old runs as time permitted.
  6. Kevin gave an excellent talk on forest & trail management.
I am sure I don't have everything covered. Please feel free to add more, and correct me if I am wrong.

no 40 :crybaby:

I had to bail early so missed all the discussions...

Kevin shared alot about the TRAL system which I learned quite a bit from. I wouldnt mind hearing a little about TRAL at each meeting. Great group conversations about some new ideas for the club too!

Looks like Phil is ready to share and mentor his 8 years of treasurer experience. Keeper of the shirts, stickers, funds, and ability to help grow the web side of CSC. Open to any CSC member.

I've served as Treasurer for the AZ chapter of the American String Teachers' Association for 5 years. I know a lot about what the job entails, so...

...no fxxxing way. :flipoff2:

:hmm: What does the job entail? :meh:

One the main reason I don't join the club is I always seem to be headed up north Friday night the meetings are. So no 40 in the parking lot but it did get one out in the snow Sunday.

PS: I flashed my head lights friday night at a white 80 series with a CSC sticker headed north down Copper Canyon just south of Camp Verde.

Probably better to ask Phil since it will be different from my experience. For ASTA it involved counting, recording, and cashing hundreds (thousands?) of personal checks from parents and writing dozens to unappreciative, sometimes snobby, professionals. In my free time, for no pay. :meh:

Who is our Supreme Overlord now?
