picked up my land cruiser last night, 12hr ordeal! left Baltimore md sometime around 5, made my way down to Richmond va, checked it out , began the long ride back home. got home sometime around 4am, needless to say, couldn't be happier.

previously had an xj, beat that thing to of an inch of its life, it just couldn't handle the monthly trips to rausch creek, soooo did some research and seems the Toyotas are everything I liked about the jeeps but also everything I wished the jeeps were. anyway here's some pics

she's no beauty queen, more of a battered old hag that does her job and just wont quit....I like it! the guy had said it was big, 6" lift on 37's, when me and my buddy pulled up to this guys house, it was bigger and blacker than anything Id ever seen...

oh and my old xj.

cheers

Welcome! :flipoff2: (Official 'mud greeting)

More info, please! Year? Other mods?

Love the armor I can see on that. Is it just sprayed black or does it have a liner on it?

Those look like TJM springs - I'm guessing it's a TJM 6" lift?

from what I gathered its pieced together, iron man 6" springs, blistien 7100 shocks, the PO made the panhards and other what nots. its a 1994 fzj80.
other mods? hmmm warn winch, the bumpers, the armor and rock sliders, lockers front and rear as well as front locking warn hubs. the PO gave me a spool to put in the transfer case to make it have part time 4x4 and 2x4, would also allow 2lo . so that's at the top of the things to do list.

it is sprayed in lineX, stuff is like freaking dinosaur skin.

im quite excited.

someday ill find a use for this supreme quote from a guy known as 'white meat'

Congrats, that is one badass looking rig! Makes me want to lift mine higher for those bigger tires and black everything out!

That looks like pretty tough to be sure. I can't see much detail, but just the design of the wings on the rear bumper look like they wouldn't stand up to much before they were into the rear qtr panel. Enjoy the rig, Toyota is the real deal.
