CruiseOrlando
Conveniently Enhanced
Finally got the shipment in today! I got an IPOR bumper, spare swingout and integrated hitch.
There was only one problem... there was a whole lot of bumper... and only one of me!
But I had a secret weapon... a 10 ton crane... and a sweet scissor lift! Made the installation pretty simple. I had to cut out a spot in the crossmember to allow the hitch to go thru - and apparently my bumper is somewhat warped, so some of the bolts didn't line up properly. I'm going to have to use a little creative intgeinity to get it fully bolted up.
Took about two hours to get the whole thing togther and the crossmember cut up. Then it was on to tackle the skid plate!
DAMN that thing is heavy...
And THICK... (that's what she said!)
That project took another hour... putting that thing on without help is not recommended! I have to re-weld a tab on my sliders to make it work as well, but that's a small price to pay for that skid plate...
Some quick shots...
She sits level now!
I still have some adjusting to do on the tire, but otherwise I'm happy.
This IPOR bumper is very well made. Attention to detail is top-notch... seems like they've done this a time or two! I also got the other swingout post, although I haven't decided what I'm going to do with that.
GSMTR aught to be that much more fun this year!
