yup yesterday I finalized the last couple' items (new windshield and bulbs for license plate lights)

On the road again!

Bought this in May and have begun modifying the modified rig to better suit my environ/needs. (Vermont, USA/small scale tree work)

on my list/underway:

- re attach the glow screen preheat system (apparently not much needed in Mexico:D) (Done!)
- 2"receiver (or 2) for front (I frequently push trailers or a chipper around) (Done!)
- mech. oil press, mech H2O temp, boost/EGT gauges
- replace 35" tires/wheels with stock rims and 33's (DONE!)
- roof rack (cobbled functional rack nearly complete)
- 24 volt vehicle <> 12 volt trailer for lights/brakes (I haul wood around)
- overhaul stock PTO winch
- consider jump seats instead of stock rear seat
- fix bouncy speedo needle

very excited to be :steer: it again!

Looks good mate, how's that 13B-T going? ;)

Do you still need me to jump under the bonnet of my truck?

hey I'd be interested to see any pics and a description of how you went about mounting the pto winch into the arb bar, I've just done the same myself and it can be a bit tricky getting them in there without having to chop the bar up, my body and arb bar are lifted 2 inches so I got the pto shaft up over the top of the front crossmember and I'm running my winch in reverse with a forward/reverse pto so I can spool off the bottom of the drum to get the cable out the factory slot cut in the front of the bar :)

Prev. Owner had Profitt's cruisers do the fab on the PTO winch integrated into the ARB bar...Let me get some photos of how it is done....I'd love to see your set up as well...

Packed and ready for some work in the AM...Time for this truck to start earning its keep....

Hey Rob

Finally got vertical again. I checked under the bonnet and not knowing what I was looking for I took three snaps of what I assume is the glow screen [an inch thick plate on the intake] and the associated wiring.

Check em out, lemme know what you need.

Got some receivers welded into the ARB - I know this isn't everybody's look but I'm confident it will prove very functional for my work. I often rig trees off the front of the truck with a shackle and a "portawrap" the receivers up front will allow me to do that as well as let me push trailers around and a chipper that I am occasionally renting....Here are some photos of the PTO winch into the ARB as well for Sadam....

Took my daughter Mtn. Biking in the Carrabassett Valley of Maine (near Sugarloaf) over the weekend....Sweet road trip!! Loving the diesel! Neither of my kids are eager to sit in the back seat though.....(may have to consider some of the fine rear seat mods I've seen....) I really want to get the gauges on line to see how things are doing......

Subscribed!

That BJ74 looks awesome!...congrats!!!!

You are too kind. I've been following your sweet build!

next up is roof rack...I need to take a break at draining the bank so I've cobbled up a functional rack that I think will serve me until I have the do-re-me for a finer more elegant solution....I'm almost embarrassed to show my cobbled up rack but what the Hell, maybe someone will see something useful for their rig and/or provide good tips for mine....In any event at least my contraption will hold ladders, my pole saws and the like while its working and while its playing it will hold up to two or three canoes or rowboats.....I also got away with using stuff I had laying around.

I am now going to add to my list: fix a bouncy speedometer needle....Also considering an FJ40 jump seat behind the stick rear seat....Rack isn't very pretty buy had been holding up well so far....Hope to get winch operable soon as I have a couple of tasks lined up for it...
1) haul some trees I will fell up a slope

2) winch a couple of 6' X 25" diam. pine logs onto my trailer to take to a carver....

Hell, I'm envious and I've got a BJ74 of my own!

Looking to install this mech water temp gauge....need to source a 14mm square socket and attempt to free a big tenacious plug in the head....

Super psyched with this rig so far....spent all day in the woods felling a bunch of trees....on a few trees I rigged the truck to pull in desirable a but unnatural direction. worked super well. Need to adjust ebrake to provide dependable holding power

coaxed this tree (the 25" diam. by ~ 45'-50' white pine in the background) to fall in the direction that I wanted it to go by using some 4 Lo diesel powah!! The tree wanted to fall into the woods but by felling it into the meadow I'm able to remove the trunk and brush much more efficiently....I use a shackle and a "portawrap" off the back or front and it works like a charm!

I first limbed the tree so I could fell the tree without harming the apple on the left or the birch on the right....make the face cut, add a wee bit of persuasion, and make the back cut.....Timber!!!
