I need to replace my thermostat and front BVSV valve, and some of my hoses are original, so I decided to call Cruiserdan and order all the coolant and heater hoses for my FJ60. I couldn't find a thread with all these referenced, so here it is:

I'm not sure yet which hose goes where, but will try to update as I work on this project.

Part number Quantity CDan Price 4/2009 Each
99554-70185 1 $13.68
90916-01163 1 7.99
90916-01172 1 13.68
16261-60011 1 10.13
15777-61011 1 17.62
90910-05155 1 4.00
99555-30280 2 8.89
99556-30300 1 7.48
87245-90A35 1 18.86
99556-30100 1 1.97
87245-90A01 1 21.91
87245-14500 1 18.26
99556-20200 1 4.75
87245-90A04 1 17.36
87245-90A05 2 13.36

Total price for all precisely bent hoses: $202.19.

Some of the hoses are straight and I certainly could have gotten any replacement hose to fit those, but I decided to do it all OEM. Now I need to decide on clamps.

Looks like this is going to be fun!:wrench:

OK. Here's a list I made referencing the part nos. with the parts microfiche ID ("reference" column). Some of the part numbers have been superceeded. The old part number is listed in the "previous" column.

Edit: sorry but I clipped the page numbers for the schematics. The two on this post are 1L4 then 1F4.

Edit #2: these hoses are for my 1985 FJ60...

And here's the other two drawings.

edit. The schematic page numbers are 4K5 (heater hoses) then 4L5 (rear heater hoses).

Here's one more hose they sent me:

87245-90A49

The note on the invoice said, "Be careful with this hose. They are manufacture-discontinued and this was the last one left in the United States."

Sorry, Folks!

Which hose is it?

That's a straight hose that goes from the Union (pipe) on the rear, top of the head (behind air cleaner), to the water pipe on the fire wall (that goes through the heat shield on the firewall) --

Just a staight piece of hose, so no worries.

PNC 87255A (in RED above pic)

Incidentally - that hose is a MFPITA to install when the engine is in!!

Gotcha, wondered why that was in hilite.
Funny how they would discontinue a simple little strait piece. Maybe no one ever buys it.

Something's not right- maybe they packed it too tightly in the box, but the hose they sent me labeled 87245-90A49 has a bit of a bend to it. I don't doubt it's going to be a PITA to replace.

:meh:

Not the right hose. I just did that one not to long ago... It's straight, and maybe 6-8", in fact, I had to cut the factory hose down a bit.

Although, that one would work, if your joint is pointed up (no pun intended) ....

edit: I remember seeing that in the EPC, it's for the joint when it doesn't have the side pipe (see the above pic).

Bumping this thread - can anyone clarify how I correctly interrupt some of the above diagrams/part numbers?

I know a few/several of the hoses I need are disco'd, but not sure if I am reading it correctly. I am looking for the items called out as:

87245A
87256E
87256C (SOR shows this as disco'd)
87246E
87245E
87255A

I know SOR shows only one as disco'd, but not sure on the availability of the rest via Toyota?

Toyota sells all but one hose!!! Advance auto only sells one hose!!! Luckily it's the one Toyota doesn't sell!!! Called pipe to pipe on their system!!!

I'm doing this project tomorrow!!!!

does anyone have a pic of the engine bay showing hose placements - the diagram is confusing me -- i have alot of the new oem hoses and may have not put them in the correct spot --- confused on drives side (the one in the very back against the firewall that goes into a tee -- says 87255a - never mind got it --

check out the SOR web site too for some good diagrams.

If you are going to replace everything you should look at the metal hard line that's behind the valve cover that as I recall bolts to the firewall... discontinued part but when I swapped engines it was in the worse shape compared to the other metal hard line thats part of the coolant system.

The drawings above are about as good as they get.

Water Pump Hose Issue

Sorry to post in an old thread here but I am having trouble getting the proper hoses from local parts store so hoped maybe you guys could help me out. I have arrows pointing to the two hoses I after, would not have thought this to be this difficult to track through a parts store but I am tired of being given the wrong ones. If you guys know parts numbers or something along those lines, I would really appreciate it!!

I will be doing this work in the coming months...plus New Water Pump, Thermostat and cleaning out the Radiator. Good Info... thanks for sharing!
