The tail goes as followes.....

I grew up in San Diego and now live in Oregon. One night two buddies I grew up with in SD call me to tell me they are two exits away and are going to stop in to visit. During their visit we are talking about my 1962 FST Cruiser and about how few of them there are. Cool stuff of course.

They have another 2 hours drive to get to Florence, Oregon where they are going to put a new roof on a granpas house. They call me as soon as they get there to tell me my 1962 Factory Softop Landcruiser cant be that hard to find because ther is one sitting in the garage at grandpas house in Florence. Yes....same year and model. Its been a few months now...Im going to pick it up this morning. $400 has made it mine. Turns out it has been in the garage for 15 or so years.

Pictures to follow soon. Lets hope we find all of the hard to get goodies. Embelished bezel, dual sided signals, soft doors and bows, yada yada yada.

Very Nice! Good score for the money no matter what shape it's in. Make sure to post pics when you get there!

I am on the edge of my seat waiting to see the pictures and what all it contains. I am still thinking about your hard doors if you are not going to use them. Maybe I will have some money this fall if available then. Not many of these FST tubs with curved door openings, I always wonder how many there are in the US since I have only seen a handful in all my web searches.

Very cool Mike...and for $400!!!...wow, that is just icing on the cake

...still looking for an early soft top myself :frown:
