Hello everyone, my name is thenimirra and I will FINALLY be getting my hands on my FJ40 this weekend. My BF has had her sitting in storage for the last two years and I am taking her over to give her some love and learn how to wheel with her. He has a Scout.

She is a 1963 and has less than 40,000 miles on her! The previous owners only used her during the hunting season.

I don't know a thing about vehicles, I can't even change a tire, but I have been in love with 4X4's since I joined the Colorado 4X4 board last year and went wheeling for the first time.

The FJ will be my first project and I can't wait to get her up on the trails. I appreciate you guys dealing with this here noob as I progress!

here she is:

Welcome to mud!

Oh I alomost forgot, :flipoff2:

OMG...I just realized I've been calling my rig a SHE....it's gotta be all down hill from here. Between my photography and the new rig, I'm going to be broke all the time.

He or she whichever you prefer, as far as being broke welcome to the sickness that we have all come to embrace.

Welcome. Newbie here too. I didn't believe everyone here about this thing being addictive, but yeah, I was wrong. So much good info on here that I just can't read enough. This site is a huge help, so thanks to everyone on that.

you will have to teach me how to drive it. Should I keep it or change it out?

Keep it!!!

It'll take some patience and practice, but I swear you'll love it once you've mastered it.

Why did Toyota get rid of the lower windshield vent? That thing is great.

Welcome and way cool rig! Keep the 3 on a tree. Once you get the hang of it, you will really enjoy it. I love the sticker on the engine. :steer:
