Anyone have a glove box door with the white and blue sticker intact?

Here's the one in my glove box. I believe that PIO stands for "Port Installed Option." The section on the right lists codes that might indicate what PIOs were added. (Just my best guess.) On this one, you can read codes 842 and 880. All others are xxx'd out. It also has a POE (Port of Entry) code (12?) below all the xxxs. Finally, on the bottom from left to right is a "Truckload" number (121) and the vehicle serial number or VIN on the bottom right. By the way, my sticker is on the right side of the glove box opposite the emergency light socket.

maybe this picture will work and I am not a complete idiot. This is right in the middle of the glove box door. Steve

I have one and it is in mint condition, but its on the back of the glove box door I'll try to post some pics of it but I dont know when I can since I dont have a camera. I would like some info on what the labels were for myself.

Would you rent me the glove box door for a week?

Take a pick of anything from my ebay store that is a repruduction and it's yours.

I will install a restored "PULL" knob and replated latch from the back side for your troubles as well.

Thanks,
Shane

I assume that you're looking to repro this decal as well? We might need to start a thread to find out what the option codes stand for, unless you already have that information. Just a thought.

I have no idea on what they are, CCOT seems to have a mint one in every picture and this leads me to believe its one door and she gets around.

Options would be A/M radio and Snow cruiser tires I think?

Yes a reproduction would be in order.

I have one in my 30,000 mile 77. It is on the right side of the glove box. It has 880 an 811 typed on two of the lines. The rest are blank with no XXX as shown in some of the other pictures. Truckload no and serial no is filled in. The sticker is near mint but obviously I cannot remove since it is not on the door.

I've heard of Dealer installed options (installed a few myself, in fact), but never a Port installed option! I have heard of stranger things, though.

My sticker mirrors MTPCRUISER's sticker with two Option Codes, a Port Code, and the V.I.N.

no one knows what the codes stand for

I have asked many of the restorers and a Toyota dealership. No one seems to know.

I was thinking....oh oh

That my "options" may have been the back heater, stereo? Who knows? I've asked Vintage Off Road, CCOT, restoredfj40, TLC4x4 and all the answers were the same....don't know.... One of my answers:

"that's a good question/lets start from the process of elimination,no pwr str.no electric windows,no air unless maybe dealer installed no cruise control no electric locks no air bags etc. etc. just kidding not a whole lot of anything, possible pto winch,soft-top,mud and snow tires ,am/fm radio, locking hubs or none they were pretty void of options .check on the internet for some history to be sure"

POE= Port of Entry

had a nice one in my 78 Fj55....

lots of things put on in the port, like Warn hubs, radio's, speaker, stuff like that

my 82 FJ40 had this port sticker on the back of the mirror.....think it came in thru the gulf states dealer, was sold new in Florida

Are you still looking for the PIO sticker? My 78 has one on the inside of the glove box lid....Have another glove box lid so I could part with my original for a while... let me know and I'll take a couple of pics for you.

I never really noticed one on mine, but I'll take a look.

AATlas have you ever thought of doing the shift plate decal in the japanese version? I'm thinking of picking up one of your decals and making a sheet metal plate for it. I think having one in japanese would be cool and switch it out. Just a thought...
