Found this on both front right & front left after the rains, any idea's as to what causes this? In my wife's Chrysler Grand Voyager it was a blocked cabin air intake system that sits between the windshield and the bonnet. Usually it has drain pipes that run inside the engine compartment but if during Autumn it fills up with small things from the trees, and gets blocked, then the water fills up and spills in through the cabin air system... Is this the case on the LC100?

Has the windshield ever been replaced? It could be from a bad sealing job. I would sit in the drivers seat while someone floods the edges of the windshield to see if that is the cause.

actually, dont blow them. You can blow the hoses off using compressed air, which are very hard to get back on. Use long pipe cleaners. Or just seal the sunroof with rightstuff like i did.

I helped a friend that had the same problem of water puddling in the DS floorboard. I used weed eater cord to push down the sunroof drain holes. the cord is flexible enough to bend but strong enough to not bend too much. The leak stopped after that.

When I bought my Hundy on 252k the PO replaced the windscreen as part of the deal.

Last year during the rains I left my sunroof open & had a puddle or 2 but I did clean it up & had no issues through the rest of the rainy season...

Will try the windscreen thing, also where do I find the sunroof drains? I am gonna start looking by opening the sunroof of course but never noticed them before...

with the sunroof open, you can see the holes in the corners from above.

Trunk Monkey, Texas 996 & Yukon LX, thanks for the help, I had a look this morning, found the holes mentioned above, bought a roll of plastic wire that fits on a weed killer machine from the hardware store & pushed 2m of wire down the LHS & 1m down the RHS and then cleaned all the dust off where the seals let the water in, and then poured a little water down the holes & both sides the water came out on the front mudguards... Next is to spray a little WD 40 onto the railings that I cleaned up & it should be good as new

Good news Shane. The weedeater cord didn't work for me. But carefully blowing with air did fix it. I had at least a cup of water pour out below. And, best of all, NO leak!

Thanks Texas993, I also read a few windscreen threads & I am glad I had a reasonable install, I am fairly sure the noise I get comes from the OEM rails up top. Anyways I poured water onto the cabin air intake and nothing into the cab so it must have been the drains from the sunroof.

Really love this site & I know it's helped sort issues I couldn't fix, and made me want to start doing my own services, both minor & major...

I wonder how many people have managed to fix problems because of the good folks that have the same passion for good fun & the great outdoors & these well built machines that can easily get there & safely back home

Cheers to MUD & all the good folks that make it what it is

I too have an issue with my cabin since we've had a couple of rains. I usually have my 100 inside, but I had it sitting out during the last couple of rains and noticed my passenger side is leaking down below the dash. I ran a garden hose over the lower right part of the windshield and vent. Water is coming in from when I do this, but not from the sunroof. I tried doing a search this morning on windshield leaks through MUD, but it errors out on my end for some reason. Are there some sort of vent drains between the windshield and the hood for the fresh air vent or do you think I have a bad seal on the windshield?

There's no vents, it's probably the windshield.

Trunk monkey, prob a silly question on my part but where does the cabin air come into the hundy?

I ask because SWAMBO's Chrysler had a serious leak from the cabin air intake in front of the windshield, and when I got to the bottom of it, there was 2 drain pipes blocked that ran down from the cabin air intakes, and when that filled with water, the wiper motor went under & had to be replaced too, but the overflow leaked in through the cabin air system and flooded the floor

I tried to the weed eater cord but to no avail, but there was a good reason why... the hose that connects to the drain was kinked! The kink was near where the hose exits behind the footwell kickplate underneath the glovebox. I can take a picture and post later. Initially I didn't know where the hose exited but I found in short order after blowing it out. I attached a small silicon hose to my air compressor and ran it about 2ft into the drain itself before turning it on. It built up some pressure and... boom! the kink had aimed the hose back into the cabin so water and sludge shot out all over the carpet and seat... (the kickplate was already off because I has to lift the carpet in an attempt to dry it out). I squeezed the hose a few times to work out the kink, aimed it back into the right direction and now I'm good to go.

tl; dr version

the drain hose exits behind the kickplate, check for kinks there if you can't get the drain unclogged.

Edit to add pictures. The hose is the brownish looking thing

Winter here in Australia.....water leak in the passengers side foot well.
You say the front cabin air inlet vent, at the base of the windscreen where the wiper blades are mounted, the drainage hose can get blocked leading to water entering the cabin? where underneath the car do you find the drainage point? Can someone post a pic?
On my 100 series I have a fuse block behind the kick panel and other associated electrical items. You say the drainage tube passes behind this kick panel?
Thanks

I couldn't agree more. these guys have so many years of knowledge, it's been fantastic!

i had a problem like this on my H3 and I tried everything, new weatherstripping, checked sunroof drain lines, etc. Turned out it was leaking in from the factory roof rack mounting sites. I put a healthy glob of silicone on them all and it cured it. the water would come in, and run along the headboard, which is fiberglass, so it never looked "wet; then it would work its way to the A and B pillars and drain down them. almost sold it because it was so annoying, it was soaked after every rain.
