Prelim design in CAD.

Bumper Mounting Brackets on Frame and central members will be 3/8" thick, CNC cut. Thinking of 3/16" thick for the sheet. Hoop is from a TJM T3. Will eventually add a "tray" to the frame bracket to house a 9500# warn.

Any pointers?

Any possilbe interest for a "kit" of pieces to have a final fitting and fab by owner (or shop of owner's choice)?

LOL... man, i've been trying to do something for weeks, and i've been looking for a TJM T3 for at least two months in the process. Just kind-of got tired of waiting and did something about it. - No offense. We're all busy, myself included...

We have a local company that does some minor fab work for us that has a CNC table, plate steel break for anything up to 3/8, etc. I'm getting pricing from them to do the four pieces for the wings (two on each side), center piece, two bumper brackets and two frame brackets. I have the T3 hoop, and the OEM fogs as well as the Hella 2000 driving lights. I already have the welder and I can paint, so it should go relatively fast.

in all honesty I'd go with that thing way before the center guard, assuming funding was there. Do it! It'll look way more BA

no 100 series sahara bars for you andy? that sketch looks like its gonna be a nice setup. if its anything like the rear bumper for your 3rd gen..i dont think youd have any problems gaining interest for a DIY kit. any provision for a winch?

I wna see pics of the finished product. You got CAD skills!

Well, to me, the Saraha for the UZJ is somewhat big, although it is strong. I like the lines of the TJM T3 and Slee's bumper, and ideally would want to morph those two together. I've been looking for a used T3, and anticipating Slee's release in the process. No luck on either, so I think I'm just going to make what I want - which is to combine those two styles.

I'm on the fence as to go ahead and add a tray (like the TJM) for a warn winch or it I want to just design for it and wait to add it later. I'm thinking that doing it now would be the best option, and I will probably do that...

Great work!

BumpItOffroad

Mike can work with you and has a 100 bumper available.

I would be interested in a kit without the top hoop.

I like Christo's new bumper especially for the winch access. But per Ben there won't be any vertical adjustment for positioning. I understand a fixed location makes is ultimately stronger but for those of us running body lifts it leaves a gap...

So I'm trying to decide whether to massage my TJM or start from scratch too. The TJM is relatively lightweight and hasn't been a durability issue whatsoever even for crazy winch pulls from it (other than the flimsy fairlead bracket...but that's an easy fix). But better winch access, custom recessed fog lights where the OEM resides now and a new powder coat would be nice.

I bumped the height up about 1/4" at the front corner (nice even numbers) and made the colors a little lighter to show up better.

That looks great.

I would be interested in a bumper kit with a winch plate and no top tube.

Any pricing yet? ;<}

yeah...i figured the sahara would be a bit big. arbs definitely stick out quite a more than they really need to. with your fab skills, im surprised you or anyone (remember mossyrocks?) would even think about purchasing any off the shelf aftermarket bumpers.

i do like your design better...seems to tuck under and allow more clearance. cant wait to see the buildup. even though i dont own a hundred, i still love watching muds version of 'how its made' looking forward to the first cut...

I used AutoCAD LT2005 and drew it two-dimensionally. No 3D modeling...

nice work
cant wate to see what it looks like in the end
DIY hell yes!

any idea on the cost of the bits?

I should know something this week...

I too will be interested is seeing how this turns out. I like Slee's design too, and will be interested in seeing how the winch looks attached and what size you can get attached.
