I changed my antifreeze the other day, and I could barely reach the petcock with my fingertips. I may have been able to get a pair of pliers up in there, but I probably would have dropped them in my face several times.
I had the old petcock from when I changed to a new Koyo rad, so I made a quick and dirty tool from a piece of 3/4" Delrin.
It made the job so much easier. I wanted to share it with all you folks.

I cut it a few inches long and cut from the end multiple times on the bandsaw until it was a nice snug fit.

great idea. i wonder why the drain plug does not have a simple 14mm or 17mm bolt on it?

"i wonder why the drain plug does not have a simple 14mm or 17mm bolt on it?" My guess is so mechanics won't over-torque the plug and damage the lower radiator tank?? The tool could come in handy for removal however IMHO I would be careful if using it to reinstall the petcock.

Awesome. That drain plug is difficult to get to.
