This is what Crushers should do with his surplus LJ78s this winter.

This one is for sale on trademe.co.nz but is too new for me. 1HDT and everything!

nice job on that conversion

x2 Its an expensive one as you have to extend the chassis to get a square door in the rear. It could be an import from South Africa as they do theirs this way.

Interior looks like its from a 61 or 62 series

awful brown velour.....

even that awful two tone prado brown exterior paint. Makes the poo brown 60's look sexy..

If your find the porn thread I can merge it if you wish..

I like...

We had 2 of these at work, they had extended chassis with a dualcab body and normal full length tray - both bent in the middle and were known as the "banan boats"

They had a lovely view of the sky as you drove them, pity you couldnt see SFA infront of you...

the brown one turns my crank!!
the white one would be MUCH easier build but doesn't look near as sexy...

thanks for posting guys...

Bruce, i would agree..care to post over in the "cruiser porn" thread?

100% Porn .. anycase I would be happy with the 76 model with the V8 or the old 1HD-T ( note the huge PS reservoir in the first model posted .. )

i like them as well, but how practical is such a small flat deck?

Its enough for the fridge, some jerry cans, water and your tools . It would still have more room than a 60 or 80 series wagon because you can go higher than the roof;)

Unusual for sure as the upper hose is still near the bottom. Maybe he had frothing problems that some owners report with their fluid.

I thought if you plan go over 35" tires it's a must run a PS cooler ..

Ram assist = PS cooler and steering stabilizer at once. Best bang for buck mod.

Yap I know .. just more money that I have right now :frown: some day I will do .. but not sure gonna keep my factory PS pump.
