The good:
I bought this thing for 1,700! I had a 60 I sold for 3,750 about two months ago. There's a lift on it but I don't know how high.

The bad:
Rust around the windshield.
The death wobble.

I live in Pasadena and I see a few around here and Eagle rock. I was wondering if there are any Meet-ups?

Good find...Nice looking rig. Check the tire balance for the death wobble. The death wobble can come from a whole myriad of things but checking the tire balance is a good place to start. Good Luck

Death wobble is usually bad tires, wheels out of round, bad allignment, hanging brakes, bad wheel bearings or bad tie rod ends, poor shocks . Most easy to fix. 2 cents , MIke

loose or worn wheel bearing
worn tie-rod ends
worn lower balljoints
excessive wheel runout

Our next meeting is tomorrow at the Sizzlers in Sunland. Feel free to come by ask for me Dave West. we'll be happy to have ya.

Thanks guys! I can't make it on Tuesdays, due to work. I wanna try to get this thing trail ready. Question. So if it has a 2.5 inch lift, can I still just buy stock shocks? How about the steering stabilizer?
Thanks in advance.

No, you need extended shocks. Call Mark at Mark's Off Road in Burbank. If you don't get him today, he'll be gone for a week.

Or worn knuckle bearings.

A stock 62 is about 70 inches to the highest part of the roof when new on stock tires. This link should give you some more info. The Wagon Way

A mild lift won't really effect the length of the steering stabilizer.

Stabilizer length will be the same, but if you have a mild lift and larger tires, you prolly want a beefier stabilizer if you still have the OE stock one.

Monroe has a cheap one that'll work. If you're not gonna be doing much, or any, offroading, that would be fine ... SOR has a HD one for a good price - they're having a sale, soon. I've got an OME on mine, I think they're about $70-ish.

Don't know the Monroe #, you'll have to check Autozone, NAPA. There's a good Japanese/German parts place in Eagle Rock called E.T.Y. Parts etyparts.com Could give them a call. They may have a KYB or something like that that would be good, too.

Also, I'm told this is an OME, just rebranded. http://www.jtoutfitters.com/steering-stabilizer-toyota-land-cruiser-fj55-fj60-fj62-p-6648.html
