1600 miles on my LC200 and I love it but, all those beeps and buzzers drive me crazy! Seat belt beeps, door open beeps, beeps when I get out of running rig with smart key in my pocket, beeps when I open the tail gate, etc. et. etc.! Any info on disabling some/all these annoying sounds?
How to turn off all those beeps and buzzers?

Just shut the LC off and most will stop

i disabled the seatbelt chime on my friends FJC.
x2. Same on my Matrix here, they could be disabled while pressing two buttons (don't remember which ones) for 10 secs or so. With all the LC buffs here, that should be a matter of hours of intense brainstorming before we have a complete chart.

Take it back to the dealership, they should be able to turn it off. I believe it's under personal settings. The tech's at our dealership have turned off the seatbelt ding in the LX570 and the LS460 using the diagnostic computer.

OK, went to dealership today for first oil change (2170 miles, M1, 0W20, takes the specified 7.4 qts- you do have to remove half the engine skid plate to get to the canister filter, major PITA) and asked the tech about turning off the buzzers and beeps and he says he doesn't think you can! I say let's hook up your programmer and see and sure enough was able to turn off all the Smart key buzzers and beeps as well as the seat belt warning buzzers, driver and passenger, and turned off the DRL's as well! Blissful quiet now!!! As an example of how much nicer it is, routine on my return to my home is to undo seatbelt at mailbox to reach out to check mail which USED to result in steady buzz for 30 seconds till silent, then when stopping and turning off rig (smart key in my pocket) opening door would lead to chime chime chime chime chime to let me know the rig was off but a door was open and the key was still inside, then exit rig and open rear tailgate to retrieve whatever resulting in steady buzz to let me know tailgate open with no key in the rig!.. Now, silence at all above! Advise you to to the above at delivery as they tried to charge me $20 for the reprogram (although I had to show the tech how to do it) to which I absolutely refused!

Thats included at the 30 day or 1k service with Lexus. Changing the personal settings, I don't have the list at home , I think there are 12 to 15 settings you can have changed. If you have a quick guide in the owners packet, the last few pages will discribe what can be changed. Glad I was able to help. A lot of tech's don't know you can turn of the dings because it's not on the list of changes. I'm sure it falls under some Fed legal issue so it's not in print.

Yeah, I had to teach the techs how to turn off the auto-retract on my LX. The service writers only thought it applied to the 03+ and even then they had never done it. With the help of 'mud and hoser I went armed with print outs and diagrams.
